About Me

Starting my creative journey as a photographer give me a great grounding in storytelling, communication and the power of visuals to create an ambience. While the technology has changed over the years understanding the art of communications has mostly remained the same.

However the emergence of Immersive tech and its mergence with AI is set to be one of the biggest game changers for decades. I feel privileged to have the wealth of visual design experience while we enter in to this new 3D era of Spatial design.

Photography and Design

In the late 80’s and 90’s I worked as a portrait photographer, working with record labels, magazine covers, hair dressers and model agencies. Working from my studio under the vibrant Spitalfields market.

During that time I also designed number of publications, brochures, direct mail leaflets and print ads for a varieties of agencies and businesses.

Digital Design

I’ve been fortunate to work with number of high profile brands, helping them develop their digital presence, whether it be designing their website, aligning their design systems to their brand guidelines, or creating their online ad and social campaigns.

Following on from my photography work I decided to focus solely on web design when I took my first full time web designing role at Dyson Appliances, to help the famous vacuum cleaner brand design its first web site and digital stratgey.

Since then I’ve had a number of perm roles with top design and media agencies and well as working client side with brands such as BBC, Hotels.com, PokerStars and the NatWest banking group.

Building on my extensive web design experience I spent a number of years creating online ad campaigns using adobe Flash (and after etfects) and later HTML 5 . Most recently I’ve been freelancing as a UX / UI designer and helping to develop prototypes digital patterns, libraries and guidelines.

Immersive
Experiences

Building on my many years of digital design experience I recently took a leap of faith in making a transition from 2D design to the immersive world of 3D Spatial design.

In the spring of 2023 I passed my VR / AR qualification from the prestigious MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). The course was a great overview to springboard my knowledge in the use of Immersive technology.
